Wildwood Sunshades | 2026
Major Projects:
Investing in
the Granville
Community
Through a community-wide campaign, GCF raised over $75,000 to add new sunshade structures to the playground, creating a cooler, more comfortable space for children and families. The project was made possible by generous local donors, including a lead gift from The Crane Family and a matching gift from the Granville Kiwanis Club. The Granville Recreation District also installed a new safety surface, further improving the park’s accessibility and play experience. Together, these investments ensure Wildwood continues to be a welcoming place for Granville families for years to come.
Partnering for Community Impact
Rotary Bridge | 2015
GCF joined Granville Rotary, GRD, Granville Township & other partners in creating a pedestrian connection between Raccoon Valley Park and the T.J. Evans Trail.
Old Academy Building | TBA!
With the support of a small group of generous local donors, GCF purchased the historic Old Academy Building and gifted it to the Village of Granville, preserving its future as a public space. Built in 1833 as a school for young women, the building also played a role in Granville’s anti-slavery history, including an 1841 fugitive slave trial. By funding the purchase, GCF donors helped preserve this remarkable piece of Granville history while allowing Village resources to focus on needed renovations, including ADA accessibility and plumbing.
Bryn Du Barn | 2024
GCF supported the Bryn Du Commission and Licking County Community Center for 60+ Adults initiative to transform the historic barn into a new community space.
Wildwood Playground | 2018
GCF joined Granville Kiwanis, GRD & many other community partners in the renovation of Wildwood’s beloved playground, creating a more accessible place for all.
