Giving With Donor Advised Funds

Some Granville Community Foundation (GCF) donors use their Donor Advised Funds to support the Foundation as this is an easy and efficient way to give. If interested in this, we encourage you to visit the website of your DAF host organization (i.e. Fidelity Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, etc.), search on Granville Community Foundation, and then recommend that a grant be made in your preferred amount to the Granville Community Foundation.

Donations of Securities

If you wish to make a donation to the Granville Community Foundation of stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other securities, please contact us! Finance Committee Chair Bob Hays will be happy to discuss your gift and provide you with the necessary information to effect the transfer.

Planned Giving With GCF

If you have already included the Foundation in your estate plans, we encourage you to contact us to share your commitment, in part so that we can discuss any specific preferences you may have for the use of your gift. Alternatively, if you would like to explore the possibility of including the Foundation in your estate plans, we would be happy to serve as a resource for you and/or your advisors, with no obligation.

Please contact Granville Community Foundation Planned Giving Committee member, Greg Sharkey, at gsharkey@tnc.org or (614) 787-4739, to discuss any questions you may have, to explore gift vehicles or to inform us that you have included the Foundation in your plans.

How to Include The Granville Community Foundation

There are several different vehicles you may wish to consider in making an estate provision for The Granville Community Foundation.

  • When naming the Foundation as a beneficiary in a will or trust, the correct legal designation is “The Granville Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Ohio, with current principal business address of PO Box 321, Granville, Ohio 43023-0321.”

  • When naming the Foundation on a life insurance or retirement plan beneficiary designation form, please use as much of the above information as is practical in the space provided and consult your plan custodian, insurance representative or professional advisor to ensure that you have provided sufficient specifics on the form.

  • Use our EIN number, as needed: 23-7241045
