Granville High School junior, Emma Mortellaro, has been selected as Photography Intern for the Granville Community Foundation.

Mortellaro will be responsible for chronicling the diverse array of local programs, projects, and events made possible by grants from the Granville Community Foundation. Foundation Board Vice President, Anne Weinberg, believes that Mortellaro’s work will “capture the energy and ideas that make Granville such a wonderful place to live, work, and play.” Mortellaro’s photos will be featured in an online gallery coming soon to the Foundation’s website, and in the the Foundation’s social media campaign, to be launched this summer.

Mortellaro discovered her home behind the camera at 13, submitting and placing her work early on with teen literary magazine, Teen Ink.  Currently, she works on the yearbook student staff at Granville High School.  Although her photography portfolio displays a wide range of interests, Weinberg notes that Mortellaro’s portraits are “especially beautiful.” This is Mortellaro’s first internship.
